The Alto Professional TX series is a brand new range of active loudspeakers that work to deliver an impressive acoustical performance and have a design that is inspired by the Truesonic series. A newly constructed directivity horn offers a broader sound dispersion and is perfect for all styles of music as well as any application including mobile entertainers, schools and colleges, live events, music venues, club and bar venues, and theatres.
The TX208 comes equipped with an 8-inch woofer alongside a 1-inch titanium driver that both work in perfect unison to deliver a smooth sound with a frequency response that ranges from 75 Hz all the way up to 20 kHz and can reach a sound pressure level of 113dB. This bi-amplified design is fitted with a 300w Class D amplifier that has a precise crossover point at 2.5 kHz while a newly designed directivity horn provides you with a broader sound dispersion, so your whole audience gets the same sonic experience. This speaker is perfect as either a main speaker or as an on-stage monitor thanks to the rugged construction that is designed for rigorous everyday use.
The rear of this speaker features a balanced combo XLR/¼-inch TRS input alongside an XLR link output and an IEC power input as well as controls for volume and power on/off. An integrated analog limiter/compressor works to prevent you from overloading the speaker system and eliminates distortion when your levels are too high; there is also a clip limiter LED that indicates when you’re overloading the speaker.
The TX208 is housed in a super-robust injection molded polypropylene enclosure with a full front grille that keeps the drivers protected from damage and has a multi-angled design and rubber feet that prevent scratches, making it ideal for stage monitoring. A convenient handle on top of the speaker makes transporting this loudspeaker an easy process while a speaker pole socket allows you to mount the speaker to a stand with ease.
